While traveling, I had the opportunity to do some knitting!

I have added a few bonnets to the Parasol Doll Shop on ArtFire.  Each bonnet was handknit in a design of my own creation.  The gradient wool yarn has a little bit of acrylic and silk which makes them soft to the touch!  The ties can worn in front or in back for a different look.

I will be adding more gradient bonnets and some lace bonnets to the store this week!

Rainy Days

I am very excited to present a preview of the newest collection for Parasol Doll.

- The Rainy Day Collection-

I adapted a 1972 children’s pattern to fit Blythe for the apron.  The dress is a modified version of a dress I had previously created and I drafted the collar by hand.  I am very pleased with the results and I hope you are too!

Black & White Bobby Sox

Today, I am sock sewing! Bobby sox in black & white, black and white polka dot knee highs, and maybe some rainbow thigh highs will soon be for sale. I love socks. Big news coming soon on the Parasol Doll sock front!

Dear humans, all of your wildest Sock Dreams can come true!

Yea! Marla was sweet enough to create a Flickr group for Parasol Doll. If you are a member of Flickr, please come join us! If you are not a member, you should be!

Modes Exquises de Parasol Doll

In the meantime, I have been sewing and have a few new dolly concoctions! I can’t wait to put the finishing touches on them and get them posted. I also have some fun projects and ideas that I am excited to debut soon. Keep an eye out here!

And just because I think she looks fantastic in her new ButtonArcade dress, it’s Brunch!

I have hydrangea colored eyes...

This weekend has been a lovely comedy of errors. On Friday, we received our first order through Parasol Doll without even meaning to!  My deepest apologies for any confusion as we were still in testing mode, but now we are almost as good as open!  Thank you all for your patience and understanding. More items will be added this week and we hope everyone comes back and gives us another perusal!

A very special thank you to my first customers, Julie and Roz!  The most important thing I learned from our series of false starts is that I have awesome friends.  Thank you both so, so much!!!

On Sunday, Marla and I co-hosted the PDX Blythe Snackluck and Fabric Swap.  I had a splendid time!

And then the teddy bear...

Many of the usual suspects were there, as well as a bunch of new attendees!  It was really great to meet everyone.  It has been awesome to see the Portland Blythe meets triple in size over the last few years.  Last October, we doubled and now we have tripled!  It’s an awesome and creative group of people that I am glad to know.  You can see many more pictures at the Portland Blythe Meat Picture Pool!
